If you’re already a user of OrderWise, you’ll know how our innovative software can help you to run your business, but did you know we don’t stop there? As well as providing you with the software to manage your inventory, we can also provide you with the server to run it and the hardware for your POS / trade counter. Want to avoid the hassle that can come with owning and maintaining your own server? Not to worry, we can host OrderWise for you to make life even easier! We can even provide you with a copy of Sage 50 if you’re in the market for an accounts package!

We are proud to announce a partnership with Dell that allows us to provide you with server packages ideally suited to running your OrderWise software and related software such as your Accounts software. Not only can we advise you on the best package for your company, we can also offer you extremely competitive pricing. If you buy from us you’re buying a well known brand at a discounted price, up to 10% cheaper than the price you would pay if you went directly to Dell.

Our server packages are available as bare bones systems that you install yourself or with full backup solutions and on-site installation, all backed by a 3 year Pro Support contract and pro active systems management, which for a busy company without internal IT support is worth it’s weight in gold! We’re currently working on workstation packages to go alongside our servers, these will be available in the near future and will allow us to offer our customers a full solution, even if they’re just starting off on the first rung of the business ladder.

Got a trade / sales counter? Then you might be interested to know that we can provide you with a full range of EPOS hardware, from cash drawers to scanners to receipt printers and more. We’re also working on creating EPOS hardware packages for use with OrderWise that include state of the art touch screen monitors with built in processors, removing the need to store a bulky workstation behind your trade or shop counter.
The full EPOS packages are being worked on now but the majority of the hardware is already available individually so if there’s anything you need why not get in touch to find out how we can help you?

It doesn’t stop there! We have just launched a range of hosted software solutions which mean that we will arrange for your OrderWise software and data to be installed on a hosted server which you access via a remote desktop – this not only saves you having to purchase your own server if you don’t want or need one, but also allows you to access your OrderWise software instantly from anywhere in the world. All packages include full installation of OrderWise, monthly maintenance of the server, and if budget is an issue you can spread the cost over 12 monthly payments.

Finally, if you’re looking to purchase an accounts package, already have an accounts package but are looking to change, or are using an old version of Sage 50 and looking to upgrade, our partnership with Sage will allow us to provide you with the software that you need at a lower than retail price. Our helpful sales team can advise you on the best software to meet your requirements, and we can provide software only, software with various support packages or even a full starter solution giving you everything you need to get going.

Want to learn more? If you’ve got any requirements or just want to learn more about what we can offer you get in touch today!

I’ve just set up a customer price list containing gross prices, which is achievable by ticking the “use gross prices” box on the Price Lists tab in Data Input / Price Lists. However, after doing so I found that OrderWise was ignoring the price list and charging my customers the RSP for the product.

I have found that the problem lies in my security settings – in order for this functionality to work the “show prices inc VAT in sales / POS” setting(s) must be activated against each system user. This is easily rectified by going to Data Input / System Security, selecting each user name and going to Page 2 of the sales tab. On there you will find options to show prices inc VAT in both sales and POS. Ticking these boxes will result in the correct prices being pulled through from price lists displaying gross prices.

I’ve never seen this error before today – I got it when editing some products. Luckily the Development Team were on hand to help, as I was stumped:

“Variable ‘Z_RECNO’ is not found.
Method: FORM1.EXCEL_IMPORT.VALUDATE_DATA_EDIT”

Turns out this means that one of the cells in the stock code column was blank. This message will appear whenever one or more cells in the identify field (the field OrderWise uses to identify which record to edit, in this case oldproductid) is blank but other cells in the row have information in. The same would be seen if for example you were editing a customer and had their address on the file but the account number field was blank.

Thought this might be helpful for anyone editing their own data!
